Temporary Contracts

Calling in sick with a temporary contract

You must call in sick before 9.00 am to the Exactpi Service Centre (070-3062004) and the company where you work. You must also notify Exactpi of the address where you are convalescing, in connection with a visit from the company doctor.

If you are unexpectedly incapacitated for work, it is important that the parties involved are informed in good time. If it is more than just the flu, then there are other things to consider. Employers and employees who are incapacitated to work are jointly responsible for the reintegration in the first 2 years of illness. It is important whether you work on the basis of a secondment or a temporary employment contract.

Notification of recovery with a temporary contract

Do you have a temporary employment contract (not a fixed term)? On the day you are better, you must call FlexCom4 before 9.00 am on telephone number 024–3741666 to notify us of your recovery.

Secondment

You must call in sick before 9.00 am to your Exact office and the company where you work. You must also notify Exactpi of the address where you are convalescing, in connection with a visit from the company doctor.

Continued payment in case of illness

Depending on the phase and contract form, as a flex worker at Exactpi you are entitled to sickness benefits or to continued payment of your wages in the event of illness.

Do you have a temporary employment contract (not a fixed term)?
In the event of illness, your employment contract ends and you are covered by the Sickness Benefits Act. After 2 waiting days you are entitled to a sickness benefit of 70% of the daily wage determined by the UWV (Employed Person’s Insurance Administration Agency). This is supplemented to 90% in the first year of illness and 80% in the second year. Payment is not made through Exactpi but through FlexCom4.

Do you have a secondment contract (for a fixed term)?
Exactpi will continue to pay 90% of your salary as long as your temporary contract is still running. There is one waiting day, so you will continue to be paid from the second day of illness. These payouts are provided by Exactpi. If you are still ill when your contract expires, you will be covered by the Sickness Benefits Act and we will terminate your employment while off sick with the UWV.
